Skill Training For Rural Youth on Goat Farming and Management

krishi vigyan Kendra, Sakoli (Bhandara) had successfully organized skill training for rural youths on “Goat Farming and Management” for 7 days duration (Residential) from 24 September 2018 to 30 September 2018. This training was funded by Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA),Bhandara.

This training programme was inaugurated by Hon’ble shri. Rajesh Kashiwar, MLA, Sakoli, in his inaugral address he signified  the need and relevance of such kind of Goat farming skill development training also urged the trainees to start Goat farming which will give employment and increase income. in this function Dr. Usha R.Dongarwar, Programme coordinator, KVK, Sakoli, given the details about the STRY programme, Dr. Satish Raju, Deputy commissioner, Animal husbandry, Bhandara, Dr. Nitin Fuke, District Animal husbandry officer, Z.P,Bhandara, Dr. Rajiv Mahajan, Assistant commissioner, Animal husbandry Dept., Bhandara, Dr. Naresh Kapgate, Dr. Ankita Poyarekar, LDO, Sakoli were also present.

Total strength for this training was 15. The training programme has built the confidence and developed skill of the trainees to start the Goat farming. During training period 3 visits to Goat farming unit of successful farmers arranged and they share their experiences with trainees.

Closing programme completed under the chairmanship of Dr. Usha R.Dongarwar, Programme coordinator, KVK, Sakoli, in her address she urged the trainees to start Goat farming which will given income and satisfaction through society. Dr. Rajiv Mahajan, Assistant commissioner, Animal husbandry Dept., Bhandara, Dr. Naresh Kapgate, LDO, Sakoli, shri. Pramod Parwate, SMS, KVK, Sakoli, Dr. Pravin Khirari, SMS, KVK, Sakoli were present.
